All of our systems are designed with two core principles in mind; reliability and ease of use. We understand that you don't want to have to wade through a fat instruction manual to get to grips with the system, or to fork out on an installation engineer every time you want to reposition a sensor or programme a new number into a dialler. By using wireless systems, all the tricky bits can be done in the factory, leaving you with a kit of components that in most cases require nothing more than fixing to a wall. Simple!
And, of course, if you do ever find yourself scratching your head, unlimited free advice is always available from our engineers on 01573 440761. Go on - try us...
Our focus on construction site security is divided into four distinct disciplines:
Wireless Perimeter Protection.
Our bread-and-butter, really. We introduced the SiteGuard Perimeter Protection system in 1994, and it remains the core of our business. Using a range of extremely rugged external wireless infra-red sensors around your site, connected by an encrypted radio-link to a control panel in the site office, you can provide a very high degree of protection to vulnerable areas and high-value plant. Accessories like signage, external sirens and lighting can be added to provide a powerful deterrent, while pocket pagers, GSM diallers and land-line diallers provide instant remote warning that an intrusion has taken place. Visit our Product pages for further information.
Scaffold Alarms.
Scaffolds by their very nature provide access to whatever they have been erected against, which is great for the builders, but also very handy for the would-be intruder.
The requirement for scaffolds to be alarmed has grown to such an extent that in may cases contents insurance will be void if the scaffold on the building is not alarmed.
A scaffold security alarm detects the intruder accessing the first vulnerable lift of the scaffold using highly selective, tightly focussed passive infra red detectors. We use wireless sensors to enable rapid deployment and easy reconfiguration as the project develops. The alarm system can be "bells-only", relying on a siren to provide a powerful deterrent, or "monitored", where a GSM dialler is used to alert a keyholder or security patrol when an intrusion is detected.
Wireless CCTV.
This is an area where technology is improving all the time. A typical wireless CCTV set-up would involve up to four high-resolution external cameras deployed at strategic points around the site, sending their images back to a digital recorder and monitor in the site office. These images can be sent over a broadband link to anywhere in the world, allowing you to keep an eye on things, and to verify an intrusion simply by logging on to the internet. They can also be monitored locally on site, allowing the site agent of foreman to keep check on progress and site-safety.
Remote Monitoring.
If your site is unmanned, adding remote monitoring using either a landline dialler (if a landline is available) or a GSM dialler will provide instant warning to nominated keyholders and security patrols that an intrusion is in progress. This early warning facility could save you tens of thousands of pounds.
